Sunderlands

Sunderlands: Ancient Realm

The title screen: SUNDERLANDS, ANCIENT REALM, over the village square of Duramont at night, under strings of coloured lights.

A hand-crafted pixel adventure. The Fall shattered the Sunderlands, and the eight Aether Anchors that held the world together went dark, one by one. In Duramont, a young hero picks up a sword.

The story

Bring the lands back

Sunderlands: Ancient Realm is a top-down action-adventure in the spirit of the great handheld classics. You explore, you fight, you solve, and one land at a time the world comes back to life.

Every land hides a dungeon with its own kind of puzzles: tides that rise and fall, mirrors and beams of light, lifts, sluices, cogs and runes. Each one gives you something that opens new paths: bombs, a bow, a hookshot, a boomerang, a spade, a frost wand. Pip the otter comes along and always has an opinion.

Every sprite, sound and note was made for this game.
