Privacy policy

Sunderlands: Ancient Realm, the game and this website. Last updated 8 November 2026.

In short: the game collects no personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and we sell nothing about you to anyone. Your save stays on your device. Payments are handled by Google Play or the App Store.

Who we are

Serion Labs makes Sunderlands: Ancient Realm. Serion Labs is a brand of SERION, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS), SIREN 992 642 710, 1 Badie, 33790 Pellegrue, France. For anything about this policy or your data, write to contact@serionholding.com.

In the game

Your save and settings

The game saves your progress and your settings (language, volume, controls) in a file on your device. It is never sent to us. If Android backup or iCloud backup is on for your device, the system may copy the game's files to your Google account or iCloud and restore them on a new device. That backup is run by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies, and we can't see it.

Purchases and codes

The full game is a one-time purchase through Google Play on Android, or the App Store on iPhone and iPad. The store takes the payment; we never see your card or bank details. We receive the sales reports the stores give every developer (on Google Play: order number, date, product, price and country; on the App Store: totals by product and country, without names), which we keep for our accounts as the law requires and to handle refunds. When the game starts, it asks the store whether the full game is owned on your account, so it can open it, and it keeps that answer on your device so the game works offline. Promo and offer codes are redeemed in the store in the same way.

Connection to the internet

The game connects to the internet only to talk to the store (Google Play or the App Store): to show the price, make a purchase, and restore or check one. Everything else works offline.

Crash reports

If you have agreed on your device to share usage and diagnostic data with Google or with app developers (on iPhone and iPad, "Share with App Developers"), the store may send us anonymous reports when the game crashes or freezes: the device model, the system version and the point in the game's code where the problem happened. These reports don't tell us who you are. We use them only to fix bugs.

Permissions

On Android the game asks for internet and network state (to reach Google Play), billing (for the purchase) and vibration (for rumble). On iPhone and iPad it asks for no permission at all. The game doesn't use your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or advertising identifier, and it doesn't track you across other apps or websites.

Children

We don't collect personal data from anyone, children included.

On this website

sunderlands.games uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and it loads nothing from other companies: the fonts and images come from our own server. Like any web server, ours writes technical logs of each visit (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) so the site can run and be kept secure. We keep these logs for no more than 12 months, then delete them. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The site is hosted in France by OVH.

When you write to us

If you email us, we use your address and your message to answer you. We keep the exchange for up to 3 years after our last contact, then delete it, unless the law asks us to keep it longer (for example for a refund). The legal basis is answering your request.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict its use, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to contact@serionholding.com; we answer within one month. Since the game itself keeps nothing about you on our side, deleting the game deletes its data. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr) or to the data protection authority of your country.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects what the game does with data, we'll say so in the game's update notes.
